Hi,
is in DXL any advanced data structure like Dictionarys and so on implemented? If I use such a dictionary, is there an ability to speed up doors2excel exports. I know that such exports often slowdown because of bad memory management and freeing buffers...
Can anybody answer my question?

Re: Is there any advanced data structure like Dictionarys? Hello You can speed up an excel im- or export, that is not the problem. But you should realize, that not onyl doors is a problem but excel too. Doors has the different memory leak problems and all the office products have different slow down problems. One of those problems is the undo function which will create a massive slow down during long time operations. The problems you have to solve will result in a very new dxl library for the fundamental im- and export operations. This ist not the content of a simple posting but a larger project. Best regards Wolfgang

Re: Is there any advanced data structure like Dictionarys? the Skip data type is a fairly direct equivalent, look it up in the dxl help file |
Re: Is there any advanced data structure like Dictionarys? Since dxl has been around since the 1980s, not sure if you could say anything is advanced -- maybe dxl data structures were advanced at sometime -- I don't know if I would call any data structure as advanced in the 21st century. |
